In order to provide excellence we need to be clear on what is expected of us and to surpass it wherever possible. We clearly establish our client’s needs and we meet them as a minimum, we exceed them at every opportunity.

We recognise that in the most literal of senses, our time is our client’s money and so at all times we make the best use of our time that we can. We don’t work longer and harder than everybody else, we work smarter and faster. As Einstein said, ‘We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.’

If efficiency can be construed as doing things right; then effectiveness can be accepted as doing the right things. We recognise that both ourselves and our clients will face obstacles in getting to where we want to be but rather than let them hold us back we do whatever it takes to overcome them with an effective solution.

All staff at Burton Beavan are expected to accept, to embrace and to create their own challenges with a positive attitude. It is simply not acceptable to do the bare minimum; we always take every task that we are given as far as we can in the time that we have.

Accountants are generally considered to be dull and boring and we really don’t want to be like other accountants. We do everything that we can to ensure that Burton Beavan is a fun place to be and hope that our staff find it to be so. As the saying goes, work hard, play hard.

At all times we attempt to educate both our clients and ourselves. The more we learn, the more we innovate, the more we improve. We support business decision making by making complex financial information simple and explaining clearly what it means. If we are not understood then we are at fault; a bad teacher will always blame the student.

Earnings are essentially the fundamental purpose of any business. We don’t just report on earnings, we aim to contribute towards them. At all times we look for efficient, effective solutions to improve sales, to reduce costs and thus….enhance earnings.
