Are you struggling to decide what image to use as your profile picture on your profile/business page? When deciding on what your profile picture should look like, it is important to take into account a few factors. Here are three that you need to consider when it comes to designing/selecting your profile image.
The first, and most important, thing that you need to consider is the fact that whenever you post on someone’s wall this image will be displayed. So you want something that will represent you as an individual, or a brand. We use a small logo that represents us as a company designed specifically to fit the profile picture set up and something that does not contain too much text:
The second factor is when you post on someone’s wall, the picture shown will be a smaller icon of your image, which means it won’t be as clear. So your image needs to be simple, and be as clear as possible when it is made smaller. The best specification for your profile image is 160 X 160 pixels; this is something you should consider when creating it so that it does not become distort when it is resized.
The final thing to bear in mind is that the profile picture is best not to include too much text; after all it is a profile picture, but also because when it is resized the text will not be easy to read once it is smaller!
So there you have it, three factors to keep in mind when creating the best possible profile picture for your business or profile page. Keep your eye out for the next Facebook guide coming soon.
